Amazing finish at last week's Daytona 500

RRL was sick of the whole art thing, so here is an amazing video from last week's Daytona 500! Check out the madcap action around 1:40 into the video. For prior references to NASCAR on the Razor, see this and this and this.

Comments:
That crap done be all Jeff Gordon's damn fault!

Exactly Anon. Him and that California Boy Jimmie Johnson. NASCAR's gone downhill ever since they made the drivers wear firesuits and such.

--If you've never been to a race, however, you are missing out on a unique and thrilling experience.

well played, mark, well played.
this rivals the great kitten pictures of january 2011.

Those guys lookin' awful racey right now. I like it Osler. I like it. You can now return to the regularly scheduled Yankee programming.

Actually, I have been to a NASCAR race, and liked it. Around 1985, IPLawguy and I went to the Richmond 400, and it was awesome. I really liked seeing the banged-up cars after the race. It almost made me take up smoking.

Although I'm from North Carolina, I've never been to a NASCAR race. I do know, however, that Richard Petty is the King of NASCAR. "Vive le Roi!"

This blog has really dropped in quality.

Since this morning????

"it almost made me take up smoking."
classic. you're on a roll, osler!
i actually had the chance to see a demolition derby in wilmington, n.c., when i was about 10. it made me take up driving.

Woody, at the Richmond 400 (Richmond being the home of Phillip Morris) they had a 3-story high inflatable pack of Marlboros. It was majestic.

You can't please everybody, so you might as well please yourself.

The golden leaf. Now you're talking my language. My grandparents were tobacco farmers and my father worked for R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Co.

I don't recommend taking up smoking, but I do highly recommend taking up Christopher Buckley's Thank You for Smoking ( http://amzn.to/fH9pcA ).

NAW-- as a student at wake forest, i lived for a year in an apartment directly across the street from a huge RJR plant. a roommate of mine would tour the plant twice a week, as they gave out three free packs to people who took the tour.
if i remember correctly, they had machines in a warehouse that pumped out around 184 packs per minute, and they had around 30 such machines in that one building alone, with several other similar buildings at the plant.
rrl would need a diaper...

Woody,

I assume that you're probably referring to the Whitaker Park plant, which will be closed later this year ( http://bit.ly/h332dc ). Fear not, however, since production will merely shift over to the Tobaccoville plant.

Who says that we no longer manufacture products in America and export them around the world?

It's great, by the way, to meet another Demon Deacon here on the Razor!

neil, it was indeed the whitaker park plant! (was it on cherry street?? it's been a few years...)
it is nice, how the razor brings together great minds like those produced between polo road and reynolda!
you've got a great-looking blog of your own, i see. i found the 'why we live here' video interesting, particularly being from milwaukee, myself.
go deacs!
