And the #1 top recycled photo is...

How can you not love Beaker? I would note that my top recycled links have probably been to Beaker singing "Feelings" and "Yellow."

Though it was first used when the administration apparently lit the school on fire while locking the doors, the Beaker fixation on the blog came about when Chris Fahrentrope started agitating for a position as commencement speaker back in... oh, what, around 1974? Seems like that...

Comments:
Beaker is the king! However, this is probably the best musical clip from the Muppet Show..

I love this photo.

Darn! I thought the Green Monster featuring your fraternal Big Brother holding a keg would make the top 5.

Osler what was that Mazda car you were talking about a while back that you said you liked?

We are looking for a second car.

Hey Osler I just thought of something about your brother...
I remember being in Middle school with him and he told me this Reallllly long joke and I have no idea what the joke was but at the end the punch line was"

"Silly Rabbi, kicks are for Trids."

I have no idea why I just told you this. Other then MAYBE you remember the beginning of the joke but i do not really need to know the beginning of it because I already know the end of it.

You know on Wednesday nights Bill goes out to this place to play with our friend Steve and a bunch of other luthiers and players at this club in Portland that I cannot remember the name of.

Usually on Wed Nights, then we get carry out and tonight we got weird drive thru Chinese which was OKAY but for some reason i ordered a medium diet coke and it was HUGE and I think that drank too much of it and now I am up late writing idiotic things and shopping on the internet for things I do not need and cannot afford. Bill and Spencer are asleep of course, Spencer passed out in the car right before dinner on the way home from the Mom;'s tea so of course this means he will be up at the crack of dawn. WHY do they make like 44 oz soft drinks anyway??? I know that Chinese food makes you thirsty but COME ON!!!!

Donut is still up, playing poker online and doing jello shots, and eating paste. I guess I will ask him.

Eating paste... mmm, good times.

--One of My FAVORITE jokes. Learned it in 7th grade and it still works! I've gotten laughs off this one since then from people my own age and now my nephews and my friends' kids IPlawbaby will hear it someday too:

There was this group of people known as Trids that lived in a peaceful valley. Their lives was good, other than the fact that a mean ogre lived at the top of the hill above the valley. The ogre guarded an orchard of Golden Fruit and though the Trids thirsted, if not lusted after the Golden Fruit, they could not get at the Fruit. Every time any of the Trids climbed the hill to get to the orchard of Golden Fruit, the ogre would kick them back down the hill.

One day, a wise rabbi came to the Trids' village and they told them of their frustration and woe.. they could not reason with the ogre -- he would not share the Golden Fruit. The rabbi listened and offered to go up the hill and mediate with the ogre.

So up the hill the rabbi climbed. He got to the top, saw the ogre, saw the orchard and started to pick the Golden Fruit. And the ogre did nothing. The rabbi filled his bags full of Golden Fruit and the ogre did nothing.

Finally, the rabbi said to the ogre, "Ogre, why is it that when the Trids come up here to pick fruit, you kick them down the hill, but when I pick the fruit, you do nothing."

And the ogre replied:

"Silly Rabbi, Kicks are for Trids!"

I still laugh every time.

Are you SUUUURE you did not grow up in GP?????

Tyd-- He kind of dresses like it, actually. However, he loves NASCAR...

Fairfax County, Virginia, is kind of like Grosse Pointe. But John Cusack never made a movie about it.

But since I lived in Ohio as a small child, I probably wouldn't be allowed to live in Grosse Pointe.

Heehee, Donut is a long lost CL child. We've been wondering where he went! The last time we saw him he was hitching a ride to Laredo with some carnival-type folks. He was holding a big sign that said "will work for Fruit Roll-Ups" and he was wearing mud boots, a Blues Clues do-rag, and his big boy underwear, with a rolling diaper bag. Could you send him back please? He's great at jumping a lift on passing freight trains, just drop him off at the nearest railroad crossing. Thanks Bunches!
