Burrito Surprise!

A while ago, I asked people what restaurant people wanted to have in Waco. There were some pretty interesting responses. One thing people asked for was a Chipotle's, and it turns out we are getting one, on Valley Mills. Huh. Also, the Waco paper reported today that Vitek's, home of the infamous "Gut Pack," is reopening in the next month or two, which is great news for those of us committed to physical fatness.

This is incredibly exciting. Waco is turning into a real place.

Pretty soon BLS will be putting out fast-talking, big city lawyers like some of those northeastern bastions of liberalism.

Thank goodness for Vitek's. If it didn't kill so many foreign (not local) food critics, the Gut Pak would've put Waco on the map long ago. It is inspired culinary uniqueness. Sooo tasty. I'm glad they're back.

You know, I was dreading PC in the fall, but w/ Vitek's reopening I just might survive. The gut pak has the awesome power to raise anyone's spirits (and cholesterol).

Gut-pack Fridays, as they became known, pretty much got me through PC.

When is the Chipotle opening? Just my luck I will be here three years, and THEN they decide to open.

Ah, the gut-pack. I can already feel the grease running down my chin--extra onions, extra peppers, extra hot sausage. Burns once, burns twice...
