I Voted!
Yesterday I did something I haven't done for a long time: voted via an absentee ballot.
I love voting, and relish going into the middle-school gym on a November morning with my neighbors, but I won't be there this year. So instead I filled everything out carefully and mailed it in, so to speak.
It still felt kind of solemn-- and definitely meaningful. Even though none of the judicial incumbents on the back of the ballot had challengers, I still filled out every single black dot.
This midterm election may not be as important nationally as some are making it out to be, but we can get to that tomorrow....
