The World Cup Final... zzzzzzzz
If like a billion other people you watched the World Cup final on Sunday, you probably have your own opinion about Spain's overtime win over Argentina, which followed a 0-0 tie in regulation.
It was pretty boring. Argentina got no shots on goal in regulation. Really-- 90 minutes with Messi up front and they had 0 shots. Spain utterly controlled the ball, which meant it was mostly keep-away from the hapless Argentinians.
Throughout the tournament, Argentina has made a habit of scoring in the last minutes, so there was some hope of that, until there wasn't.
There were a lot of great games in the tournament, of course, where the best players made spectacular plays-- this just was not one of them.
