Early Autumn
Fall is here! There are five pumpkins growing in the front yard, there is a little nip in the air and flashes of red leaves here and there in my neighborhood.
I thrive on the change of seasons, and this is my favorite transition of all-- better than the first flowers of spring, the pool opening in the summer, or the first snowflakes of winter. I love the subtlety of it, the gentleness of the season, which carries none of the threat of summer and winter.
