Poems of New York

My mom had a great memory:

Paul Winter concert
Celebrating the solstice
St. John the Divine.

And so did my dance-major friend Desiree:

Cattle calls, dance class,
temp jobs. Classes with Merce C!
NYC summer!

Christine remembered a moment:

Saffron curtains hang
in Central Park - Renewal,
Change and difference.

And this anonymous entry rang true:

Concrete everywhere,
Subway has a special smell,
City never sleeps.
