Charles Barkley's bad day
At halftime of the Auburn-Yale game yesterday, Charles Barkley was so confident his alma mater would win that he lit up a cigar. That didn't age well as Yale ended up winning 78-76.
It has been a bad tournament for the perennially-overrated SEC. Their 4-seeded champion lost to Yale. 7 seed Florida lost to Colorado, a 10 seed. SEC powerhouse Kentucky, a 3 seed, lost to tiny Oakland University. 6 seed South Carolina lost to 11 seed Oregon.
Maybe next year, fewer spots for the SEC and more for the Ivy League....
