Haiku Friday: Sweet Days of Summer

Wow-- summer is flying by! So let's take a minute to appreciate it-- the good, the bad, the surprising. Here, I will go first:

February morning
I think about days like this
Flowers stretch to sun.

Now it is your turn! Just use the 5/7/5 syllable pattern and have some fun!

Comments:
Tornado, Blizzard:
Soft serve vanilla swirled
with favorite treat

Mid summer arrives
With its suffocating heat
Dreaming of winter

First one, then some more.
Flashes in the twilight air.
Fireflies do their dance.

Sunlight falls like lead,
Heat surrounds me heavily,
Merciless July.

The Medievalist

Escape the AC
into the summer air — warm,
fragrant, full of joy. (Desiree)
