Haiku Friday: What's Growing?

This is that time of year when the earth is just busting out with life! Here in Minnesota, we look forward to it through the 6 months of winter, so it is all the more sweet.

Let's haiku this week about what is growing near you. Here, I will go first:

Sunflowers bust out
Like prehistoric plant beasts
 Soon, yellow blooms shine.

Now it is your turn! Just use the 5/7/5 syllable pattern and have some fun! [Especially the gardeners like Desiree and IPLawGuy and Christine....]

Comments:
Growing, thriving. When --
"Sunflowers?! Ha!In your dreams!"
Snarled the squirrel.

Seeds for tomatoes
were planted late, but I see
five blossoms. Hooray!

First summer in new
house. Catawba, loosestrife, mock
orange blooms surprised me.

Okra demands warm
ground and so do I. We both
thrive in the summer. (Desiree)

Bee balm standing tall
Hummingbirds dart amongst the
Pollen laden blooms
