Haiku Friday: Back to School!
It's that time of year! And I love it. Fall is my favorite season, and I get to start teaching again on Monday.
Let's haiku about back-to-school season: memories, current realities, hopes, etc.
Here, I will go first:
At the Barnes School Store
A fat pencil was five cents
Beloved new friend.
Now it is your turn! Just use the 5/7/5 syllable pattern, and have some fun!

Every morning
I wake knowing every
day is a school day
Aging drains your brain,
leaves room for new ideas
and fortunately
I am surrounded
by teachers and subjects to
be pondered anew

First class day: Campus
shakes summer sleep with students
lively, eager, thrilled.
Best day of my work
year. At no other time are
they as impassioned.
You feel the pulse of
excitement that only new
learning can create.
