Good work, all! Some people remembered fleabag hotels, while others had more upscale memories...

Mark - it was the only room we could find as we were heading to Durham from Tampa in the middle of a hurricane evacuation. Original plan was a night in Savannah and then Charleston. No ghost tours for us.
There was a lobby on each floor that featured the fashions over the years for the clothing that had been sold on that floor in the store.

Hey! The San Remo is NOT a Fleabag hotel. It's AWESOME. Clean, friendly, quiet and quaint. HIGHLY recommend.
