Haiku Friday: The Feast

Yesterday, I had some leftover pumpkin pie filling. My mom, who had made an apple tart, had some extra crust. So I used both to make some tiny little pies. I ate most of them myself!

How did your feast go? Let's talk about it... in haiku!

Here, I will go first:

Best turkey ever
Brined with attention and love
Scent filled the house.

Now it is your turn! Just use the 5/7/5 syllable formula and have some fun!

Comments:
Tuesday booster shot,
Wednesday aches and pains,
Thursday well and stuffed.

Monday booster shot
Wednesday thought I was good
Thursday a migraine

Hence, no meal consumed
Friday, feeling much better
Cooking has commenced

Duck smoking outside
Aroma of apple pie
Permeates the house

Sipping French cognac
Giving our thanks a day late
Counting our blessings

Apricot carrots,
brussel sprouts, sweet potatoes.
Sides are main event.

God, I hate turkey,
Thank you for sending the lamb,
Random red leaves fall.

Jeff’s mother is frail
But eats dinner like a champ.
Her kids surround her.
