Haiku Friday: The Road

It was a summer that opened up to us-- at least for a while. Where did you go? Where did you wish you had gone? What road beckons to you? Let's haiku about that this week.

Here, I will go first:

A few days and nights
Of big skies and high deserts
Make long memories.

Now it is your turn! Just use the 5/7/5 syllable formula, and have some fun!

Comments:
Wanted to see Mom
After she got sick (Covid)
Waited too long. {tears}

Delta variant
Life- immunosuppressed spouse
Kibosh on any plans

Don't even attend
ballgames; too many unmasked
We watch on tv

Followed the Razor
all the way to Wyoming
and Afton's elk arch

Long Dakota roads
Stretch beyond the horizon
Brother rides shotgun.

Drive route 66.
Through pass to Shenandoah
and my happy place.

While others travel
I live vicariously
Through their FB posts
