Summer's end
I thought this topic might evoke more interest, but we did get two high-quality entries!
The Medievalist reminded me of a feature of Waco that never appealed to me:
Central Texas heat,
Until end of October,
Summer lasts and lasts.
And IPLawGuy brings up one of the good things about school starting:
Summer by myself
