Italian Food... Ahhh yes.

 Good poems on good food!

There were two good ones on gelato. First, this one from Christine:

Rich, creamy goodness
Gelato where have you been
ahh...Bellissimo.

And then this one from Gavin (who is quite convincing):

Which gelato shop?
Inspect the pistachio!
Pale green means REAL deal.

Then Trevor had a great offering:

Visiting fam'ly
while dieting. “But you can
eat lasagna, right?’

And then Desiree had an epic outpouring, all of which was great:

OK -- you knew that the paisan' was going to jump in on this one!

Grandma took the bus
to Patterson to buy me
cannoli. That's love.

OK, and another,

I never knew folks
bought Ragu in a jar 'til
I got to college.

Sausage and peppers.
"Italian soul food" is what
my father called it.

OK, just one more, because now I'm hungry.

Finding wheat berries
for the Easter wheat cake is
a feat in NoVA.
