Haiku Friday: Bears

Because they are intelligent, fierce, resourceful, and interesting, bears have an outsized influence on our society. Think about how many famous bears there are: Smoky Bear, Winnie the Pooh, Paddinton, Fozzie, Super Sugar Bear, Yogi Bear, Tian Tian, William "The Refrigerator" Perry, etc. etc. etc.

So let's haiku about bears this week. Here, I will go first:

A noise in the woods
Close to our cabin (too close!)
The bear slinks away.

Now it is your turn! Just use the 5/7/5 syllable pattern, and have some fun!

Comments:
Wise yet innocent
Lived under the name Sanders
You silly old bear

My grandfather's last name:
"Behr." And he kind of was one-
Hairy, big and wise.

Wild? Or, cuddle friend?
Toxic spray? Or, snuggle close?
I choose the latter.

Bear sightings each year
Last year at the house next door
And then he was gone

Mom black bear with cubs.
That'll get your attention
on a summer hike.
