Haiku of Crime!
Excellent work! I suppose that could have gotten pretty dark, but it didn't... for example, there was this gem from Megan Willome:
Why, when September
blows in, do I crave a book
that's a bit crime-y?
And the Medievalist, as usual, had a reflection that read true:
He broke my window,
Tried to steal my Ford Fiesta,
Bled everywhere, failed.
As did Gavin's:
They say crime don’t pay.
Well, it sure is popular.
So it must be fun!
I'm pretty sure Susan Stabile's was rooted in experience:
Two converged on me
And ripped my necklace away
I froze in my place.
While IPLawGuy was more philosophic:
Why Antiheroes?
Do not glorify bad guys
Root for good ones!
