Haiku Friday: Kindergarten Teachers

School is starting all across the country, and for our kindergartners, it is the first day of school ever! There is something special about that very first year, and many of us remember the teacher well.

Let's haiku about that this week: Your kindergarten teacher, or one you know through a child or legend. Here, I will go first:

Clark Elementary
Detroit, Michigan, long 'ere
Teacher: Mrs. Bone.

Scary but true!

Now it is your turn! just use the 5/7/5 syllable pattern and have some fun!

Mrs. Lederman
Complimented my lunch box
And I was launched.
Mrs. Figgen! She
made me feel like a student,
learning everyday.
Skipped kindergarten
Went right to first grade. I...
Never learned to play!
Why does that kindergarten teacher have "BJ" on his/her jacket? Or is it BU (Baylor)?
First grade - boring
Second - even more boring
Books = salvation!

I hated school thru 4th. Bored stiff. I was reading on a college level by then. Skipped to the seventh and whee! Never looked back.
Miss Hedges sent me
Back to the playground. I was
Making too much noise!
Mrs. Middleton
Don't remember much... She was
Tall, severe looking

She didn't smile much
Baby sitting five year olds
Favored our nap time
