Haiku Friday: Vacay!

Summer-- it's time for vacation. The one you had, the one you are on, the one you will take, or the one you long for... let's haiku about that this week.

Here, I will go first:

The woods are calling
Tall old straight pines; cold water
A cabin, coffee.

Now it is your turn! Just use the 5/7/5 syllable formula, and have some fun!

Comments:
The woods are calling
White pine has fallen on the
outhouse, chain saw time!

Phyllis

Rain in Spain never
Falls on the plain near my house.
Hot, dry, and sunny.

To Traverse City
Next weekend for a wedding.
Have any good tips?

Eat many cherries
Go and climb a dune or two
And wear a nice hat!

Driving,I hear them
Calling,their babies on
their backs
Calling lonesome from

The silver green woods
Where a dacha waits fire
lit
Mary tends the talk.

He can talk faster
Than twenty tractors
Souped up
On jet fuel,all of

The liberals outrage
him
He has had to fight so
damn hard
For everything and

By his decision
Might lose it all.His
back hurts,
He's sixty soon.Think I'll visit.

I watch things that move
clouds,waves,birds circling,shadows
then the day is done

Cool, clear mountain lake
Idaho, dang near heaven
Better watch out trout!

Starting a new job:
Flight to Sarajevo, then
Teaching in Mostar . . .

Beckons like vacay.
Three days on Croatian coast
first, taking deep breaths.
