Haiku Friday: Candidates/Tacos

Are you interested in the presidential campaign? Do you like tacos? If you said "yes" to either one of these questions, this is your week to haiku!

Your poem doesn't have to be about both the campaign and tacos-- you can just pick one or the other. If you are particularly inspired, feel free to include both, though!

Here, I will go first:

Bernie Sanders' folks
Express true love, kinda like
Mexican food fans

Now it is your turn! Just make it 5/7/5 for the syllable count, and have some fun!

Comments:
tacos al carbon
Tacqueria Number Nine
Tex Mex front-runner

Oh, my high heavens
Tacqueria Number Nine
Makes my head spin.

Ninfa’s on Na-vi-
Gation. The original.
Green sauce is heaven.

Smart Candidate tip:
Don't eat tacos. Too messy
Must keep white shirt clean.

What you must keep clean
Is not your damned white shirt--
It's your big ol' nose.

Let tacos debate,
Jalapeños never lie,
Crunchy picante.

Dear Prez Candidate,
One question will earn my vote:
fave taco and why?

Baba Wawa would
Ask, If you were a taco,
What kind would you be?

I ate a taco
after watching the debates;
Pass the antacids

OK- not a candidate, however....

Burrito. Taco
Combine and eat too many:
Burraco Bomba

(Groan here).

Candidates are bland
like this taco; too much cheese,
needs more spice and meat.

Sleepy Walleye wins.
