Heart of Breakfast

Thanks to all the excellent haiku-ers last week!  Breakfast was on the menu… and I want some of what Christine is making:

 KitchenAid Mixer
silky smooth batter, cast iron
sizzling, buttery...

Powdered sugar
lemon wedges, fork tender,
a tasty morsel.

 And Renee can make the coffee:

 Java the steam chugs
To my insensate station
Gears grind. Toes move. Wake!
