Because the peaches need you...
I loved the plaintive tone of this haiku last Friday, from Megan Willome:
Rain, rain--where are you?
Only one inch in four months.
The peaches need you.
And Lily of the Valley gave us this:
Tell the rain I'm tired.
Tell it my back aches and my knees
Pull me to the ground.
It still will not stop.
Its drops carve the windows,but
Malaise paints mindscapes.
And the skies gave us more rain.
