Yesterday on MPR

Above is the podcast for yesterday's interview on Minnesota Public radio.  It was my third time on the Daily Circuit, and it is one of my favorite places to talk about important things.  They give it enough time, ask good, challenging questions, and are always prepared.

That's not always true of other news outlets, and I really do appreciate the people who work hard to make a discussion worthwhile.

Well said.

Thanks, WF. It does matter so much to talk to people who are prepared...

Yes. All the difference in the world...kudos to both of you.

I've gained a new perspective on prosecutorial discretion from your interview. We all know the spirit of “law free from passion” implies a measure of disconnect that in turn should warrant impartiality. But to do the job well, you point out, is to be emotionally invested because only then you have the kind of connection needed to exercise discretion properly. And after all the talk on the Razor these days we know how devastating misguided discretion can be, for it was amply explained from every angle.
