Haiku Friday: Summer foods

It's now summer, and what we eat changes in the summer.  What is it you love?  I'll go first:

A simple pasta,
Eaten outside with laughter...
The true fruit ripens.

Now it is your turn!  Just make it 5 syllables/7 syllables/5 syllables, and bring it on!

Comments:
A delicate treat
-avoid brain freeze. -fast or it melts.
TIGER'S BLOOD SNO CONE!!

Mark - you were inspired today!

Sugary pink fruit
freckled, juice drips on my chin
thunk, thunk, it's ready!

There's really only
one true summer food, my friend:
Crabs. And then more crabs.

Hot dog on grill.
Sizzle and pop. We know what
they made of. Who cares.

Not gourmet, not
organic. Not hip like your
delicatessens.

Who cares!

Heat from above,
heat from the grill.
Throw on a dog. Who cares!

Beer.

Bake me up them beans
Pile 'em high, leave room for slaw
Bake me up them beans

I wonder why meats
and red peppers grilled sweet
Taste best on a porch?

That last one (@2:05) is great! Thanks Anonymous.

Bucket brown wood plain
Inside it a metal belly
Salt-covered ice.Crank!

Cream from a cowy
Starlet,perfumed berry,sugar
All worked up lather

Beneficent thing
Of childhood dreams conical
Tongue savors each foray.

You are cream,you are
Iced,you are ambrosial.
Eyes closed,I am here.Now.

Eva wore tomatahs
In Eden,the fresh enticing scent
As corsages on bosoms.

Between tenderly
Place soft mozzarella rounds
And dewy basil fronds.

Caprese,my love,get thee
Into my mouth.Melt there 'til
Summer be consumated.

Once I made strawberries
Crushed,sugared,biscuit mountain
Atop pillows whipped

Cream,gave it to Sal.
"Here's your strawberry,Shortcake,"
Joked I.Where doesn't the sunshine?

Listen Osler--now u see why I always need to say: Geoffrey sucks.

Geoff knows I am height
Challenged. Would that I had been
Born with mustang legs.

I have told him once
twice in the fifteen years we
Cohabitated B4 dating

New blueberries and
raspberries under white clouds
of honeyed yogurt --

Summer ambrosia
on the Minnesota porch
ends this perfect day.

On Minnesota’s
North Superior Lake shore
It’s undeclared war.

Me and the black bear
Enter contest to consume
Wild red strawberries.

I eat the blue orbs
Every day, no self-restraint.
Ah, Summer glories!

puffy white pillow
speared, orange flames, blistered skin,
dissolve in ones mouth

Christine,

I'm looking forward to some of those "blistered skin," "puffy white pillows" between graham crackers, accompanied by good chocolate this coming weekend. Your words made me extra hungry for them. Hope you have some too.
