Today's the day that Minnesota embraces marriage equality....

Governor Dayton will sign a bill today ensuring marriage equality in Minnesota.  It's a good day.

Here is a wonderful video Craig Stellmacher made with some of the people involved:

Comments:
For the people of good will who won this legislative battle: Congratulations! For the people of good will who lost this legislative battle: Carry On!

One more state embracing love - lots more to go.

Somebody needs to tell the clergy from the church in Monticello two things - marriage is not predicated on reproduction, and his notions of natural law is badly flawed, inaccurate and outdated.

In the natural world we see lots of species, over 1500 have been identified now, that engage in same sex pair bonding and rearing of young.

The other questions that should have been asked were:
1. Should single parents be legally allowed, whether because of out of wedlock births, divorce or death? 2.If not should the state intervene in those families 'for the good of the children'? 3. What about all the BAD heterosexual parents?

It is farce, and appalling ignorance, to think that either gender or sexual orientation determines who is and is not a good parent.

It has always been remarkable to me how well natural law lines up with the prejudices of whoever is speaking in favor of it at the moment.
