Is RRL in prison?

Did anyone else worry when they saw this haiku posted by RRL yesterday?

Winter, in prison,
and the food was real good. Now
set me free warden.

It's very unusual for RRL to leave the realm of politics and write poetry in the first place. But this one... is it metaphor, or is he actually in prison?

And if he is in prison, who got his personal train car?

Comments:
I am not in prison...at least...not yet.

It was referential poetry to John Prine's classic "Christmas in Prison." Sometimes, man, you don't know where inspiration will come from.

I was questioning the fact that our prison system would allow RRL access in order to Haiku

I wasn't concerned. The poetic voice pretending to be in jail is an old poetic trope, goes all the way back to ancient Persia. Cute.

i can attest to the literal fact that RRL is not in prison, though he was awful grumpy tonight.
super bowl sunday is upon us, and some of his grumpitude was super bowl sunday-related, so i'll get back to you on his outlook.
but it seems he may be listening to a lot of creed, a LOT of creed, lately, and thus is stuck in "my own prison."
an even sadder fate than actual incarceration, if you ask me... or any of his other friends.

for those who didn't pick up on the awful creed reference above: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iBBqjGd3fHQ

ugh... they're awful, only eclipsed in their terrible-ness by nickelback, RRL's other favorite band. or not.
