Haiku Friday: Christmas Specials, etc.!

So, I spent some time last night with the "Star Wars Holiday Special," and it was just gruesome-good. They weren't kidding about 20 minutes of Wookies yelling at each other!

Let's return to that, then... the good and bad of the Holiday season. Sales, parties, tv, movies, whatever. Just no middle-of-the-road stuff: It has to be great or terrible (or both at once, like the Star Wars Holiday Special).

Here is mine:

Wookies have "Life Day"
A holiday of yelling!
Sound familiar?

Now it is your turn! The winner gets their bio here on Monday, plus maybe a holiday special on Fox. The recipe is 5 syllable for the first line, 7 for the second, and 5 for the third.... now haiku!

Comments:
Charlie Brown Special,
Snoopy decorating house,
Linus steals the show.

Watched Rudolph the Red
Nosed Reindeer the other night with Spencer. Just WACK.

Frosty takes refuge
puddles found upon the floor
in local greenhouse

Husband's work party
In a wine cellar, to boot
Turns out, Hell IS cold.

I want a special
Where the kid rides on Rudolph
And has his teeth pull'd.

Seventy degree
December days in Texas
Joyful holidays!

Hark! Tis the season,
For Star Wars' Wookie Cookies.
The Empire Strikes Back!

Is Santa Claus real?
Ev'ry show, he looks diff'rent -
Their belief wavers.

Hill staff wondering
Who will lose their vacation
America shrugs

Advent reminds us
Patience, prepare, and just wait
Christmas will come soon enough

Tree,shivering green,they
Tenderly toted her down
To the porched house.

Depression Christmas
Generations in the same house.
Where Angst went to Happy.

There was always pie,
Smiling at you from its tin.
No one went hungry.

But where was John-Boy?
Drinking the recipe with old
Elegant sisters.

And Grandpa still lusts
After Grandma while she fumes.
From dark bedrooms: "Night..."

Pa and Ma sneak-kiss
It was not so in Dad's home.
Pa always gone. Loveless.

And since he's got the
Remote,we won't be watching
The Walton's. Ever.

"It never happened
That way," he says.He is angry.
Lights cigarette.Poor Dad-Boy.
