Hmmm.... Maybe this is working...
As some of you know, I've been back and forth to DC recently working on commutation... and now something is happening.
Check out this great new piece in the Washington Post from Dafna Linzer-- it's the stuff in the 2d half of the article that I find particularly interesting.
Dafna will be on MSNBC at 10:50 Eastern time (9:50 Central) to talk about some of what has been going on...

The Professor apparently is not afraid to make a fashion statement or try to set the next fashion trend.
May I assume pardon attorney Rodgers is a hold-over from the Bush administration and Justice Department continuity enabled him to "hold" onto his position - Though why, in God's name, didn't someone speak up when
"...In 2008, the pardon attorney recommended that President George W. Bush deny Aaron's request for a commutation even though his application had the support of the prosecutor's office that tried him and the judge who sentenced him. The pardon attorney, Ronald L. Rodgers, did not fully disclose that information to the White House."
To have one's plea, pardon, etc... not be granted after all the information (evidence) is presented is one thing, to withhold seems criminal in its own right.
To those eager to pass judgement or sentence, living and conducting business in shadows is more than hypocrisy - it is just plain wrong!
Thank goodness voices have been heard and a request to "...directed the Justice Department to conduct its first ever in-depth analysis of recommendations for presidential pardons," are being advanced.
Mark, is this an issue my two Senators need to hear from me, my friends, their constituents?
