Haiku Friday: Comfort food

You know what I mean.

Here is mine:

Meatloaf sandwich? Yes.
It's rainy and cold. Gravy?
I nod happily.

Now it is your turn. Just make it 5 syllables/7 syllables/5, and make it real. I will create a mostly accurate bio of the winner here on Monday!

Comments:
Daughter has not called back.
Is she O.K.? Sad? Sick? Glad?
Some ice cream will help.

Five Thousand. Loaves. Fish.
Next day, they came to get more.
Food? Or bread of life?

Here in '11/12
Baylor fans need less comfort....
food. Year of the Bear.

Microwave popcorn
Wine in a box, over ice.
With a straw. Partay.

Red curry with lamb,
Or, say, red curry with duck,
... I see a trend here.
Bob

Stouffer's Mac'n Cheese
sauce ooozing through pasta tubes
Hot gooey, goodness

Diet Coke, raisins,
saltines. Every night at 11.
Best friend since college.

Chicken dumpling soup
First gram made it, then mom, and
Now me. Add saffron.

Anything eaten
With best friends. Grilled burgers, tots,
Tex-Mex, holidays.

For some poor people
"Comfort Food" just means having
Anything to eat.

Church done,roast came...brought
Tender carrots,spuds,onions bathed
In warm gravy love.

Nothing simpler.Crown
of glory for the meal,Car'mel
Pudding:tongue's delight.

Since ’69, cheap
Jack-in-the-Box tacos have
always made me smile.

In college, I found
Peanut M&Ms go great
with margaritas.

Now, I get comfort
food each eve’ning. Hubby Dave
makes our dinner.

A spouse who cooks is
The best comfort there is.
Love in ev’ry bite.

I've posted my entry, but will add that Jessica deserves the win. JS

Jessica is right, though there are degrees of poor. We have yet to visit the food bank or anything....but we are still "cant pay for health insurance for entire family" poor. Its okay -we just take turns getting sick. We are "self employed/ phone co blew up house"poor. However, even if i was not, i still think you cannot beat 'five liters for eleven dollars a box' wine. I dont care enough to spend 5 dollats on one bottle. EVEN if it has a cork.

In butter: "Knopfli."

Homemade veg-beef Soup
With egg rich dumplings floating...
"Spatzli".And you're welcome.

"Knopfli" means "little buttons" in Swiss.
