The perfect kitchen...

My key elements:

1) Gas stovetop
2) Two ovens
3) An island or peninsula
4) A decent sized work area
5) Good natural light
6) Music

Comments:
Come for a visit, we have ALL of those elements in our kitchen! And we love to cook...

Check Check Check. And I'll raise you a hibachi/grill top with seating surrounding.

kitchen wars

Where is the wine?

1) Auto-tuner
2) Shawty photos
3) It's on a boat.

I agree, and would add that I've come to appreciate the granite countertops that happen to be in the apartment I rent. You can chop anything on them or accidently sit a hot pot on them and they are indestructible (or at least, I haven't yet figured out how to destroy them).
And they always look clean.

You know what else would be nice? Those warmer drawers that keep your food warm while you've got other things going.

And did you say a gas-burning stove?

Where's the turtle fence? If turtles are becoming chefs then we need a defense.

How shall we protect ourselves?

#1: Someone who loves to use it, and knows how to use it well.

A refrigerator full of Cristal. Thats it. Everything else would be unnecessary.

(3) Wood-burning smoking chamber
(4) Gas range
(5) lots of freezer and fridge space
(6) Storage for all of my assorted woods and charcoals

Two dishwashers- one for clean dishes and one for dirty. You use the clean dishes, deposit them in the other dishwasher, then run it and switch them out. You never have to unload the dishwasher except when you need to use a dish.

Swissgirl:

I know a way to destroy granite countertops..... Have your house explodes. Bonus points if they are only NINE DAYS OLD.

ALSO NEEDED:
1. TRIPLE OVENS
2. TWO DISHWASHERS
3. That thing that is like a central vaccuum where you sweep the stuff on the floor into a certain area and then hit a button with your foor and it sucks it all up? need one of those too...
4. The kitchen has to be in a house that has a POOL.

PS I KNOW none of you will listen to this: BUT....

AVOID STAINLESS STEEL!!! Yes it looks nice... but the Fingerprints!!!!!! You will spend HOURS and HOURS cleaning them.

That is time you COULD BE spending unloading the two dishwashers or swimming in the pool.

apparently you forgot, um, decorative pumpkins and gourds.

7) Decorative pumpkins and gourds

He forgot the built in butcher block and prep sink!

I hate stainless steel - between my husbands dirty hands and the dogs - need I say more. Especially the fridg. and the dishwasher. The others I can live with.

I have one of those central vac floor board sucker thingees. That is the only feature of the central vac system that I like. Wish I had it in a few more places around the house. Again with 2 lab's trying to drag the vacuum hose around the house is a PITA. I want my Oreck!
