Oh! Back to Dallas...

No sooner do I write about Dallas than I need to go back. It looks like I'll be on CNN tonight to talk about the Kagan nomination in the 7 pm (central time) hour, and the closest studio is up there.

Comments:
Maybe one of these days you will get nominated!

Oh wait - you aren't old enough but you did go to the liberal, elite eastern law school.

John Roberts? Surely not the Chief?

On an unrelated note, Baylor Law made the bottom of the list of party law schools. See http://www.partylawschoolrankings.com/full-rankings/. There is a methodology and everything.

Nice. Will they get any more specific with you than "the 7 PM hour" or do you just talk when they tell you to talk? :)

Make sure you hit all these Real American™ points:

(1) We don't know her sexuality, since being a lesbian disqualifies one from sitting on the Supreme Court.

(2) Whether she has funneled money to America's enemies, since she decided not to let the U.S. military recruit from Harvard law.

(3) Whether she will support Republican's efforts to declare health care reform bills unconstitutional.

And while you're at it, here's a few points from me:

(1) Harvard rejected my application to attend law school there. I'm not unhappy about this; after talking to friends who went to Harvard, I'm convinced it was a good turn of events. However, is there some sort of "employment matching" scheme a la Wal-Mart's coupon matching? Because I would like the sort of marketability that a Harvard degree would get me, but I'd prefer to keep the knowledge and skills I got at Baylor.

(2) Just once, put a Whoopee cushion in Justice Thomas' seat.

Great job tonight, Prof. Too bad Toobin hijacked the segment and took your line, and they didn't really let you talk at the end. Not to mention "Oh-sler."

But I definitely enjoyed the shout-out to BLS, and your discussion about how those law schools really are different from ours and others.

Toobin was just getting him back for the last time he was on CNN

Any chance at a transcript for those of us that missed it?

Lane,
Hopefully in a few days you will be able to google
CNN, Mark Osler

CNN eventually will post a transcript of the show. I found the transcript 'easily' from his appearance in March.

Yes, why couldn't CNN be their usual repetitive selves last night? I didn't get home til almost 10 and they had a different Jeffrey Toobin panel on Anderson Cooper's show. I look forward to seeing the Osler-Greenhouse-Toobin version!

The link for the CNN Transcript. You can't see him, but you can read the conversation!
