So, what's the MOST outlandish part of this scam?

Comments:
The fact that I received the same email... Four times!

I'd go for it, it looks legit...

Hey Your Last Lecture is today and it is taking place on the day that my house exploded three years ago. April 19th.

I think Ginger is coming to see it. Your lecture, that is.

The interesting spelling and punctuation.
I hope your Last Lecture goes well!

Definitely the fact that Robert Muller feels the need to assert his name no less than four times, the FBI names itself twelve times, and the whole "wiretap the internet" thing.

Too easy...

The FBI is apparently ".org" now.

That some poor old people will fall for it.

I think it is pretty funny that they expect the government to be so flamboyant in admitting that it is spying on its own citizens.
If that were the case, I'd expect the FBI agents to also sponsor some of their favorite porn sites and point out which Russian mail order bride sites are legit.

Brennan

How affordable the insurance is. See, the public option is working already.

Most outlandish? FBI seeking to wiretap internet. It starts off like a conspiracy theorist e-mail, and ends up in a scam.

Most outlandish?

The rediculously cheap shipping charges from NIGERIA.

LOL, yep the URL on the gvt e-mail.

The total lack of proofreading. Note to any future scammers out there: If you're looking to dupe people, make it a little bit harder to detect the scam. The poor (which doesn't even begin to describe it) English is sort of a dead giveaway.

I guess crime makes you stupid...

I can't believe how cynical you people are.
Mark, if you pass up this golden opportunity to get an ATM CARD loaded with $10.7,000,000 (Ten.7 million dollars UniTEd StATEs currency) for the low, low price of $470, which could probably be paid in dubloons, then you, sir, are a fool.
PLEASE, PLEASE forward this e-mail to me, so I may take advantage of this golden opportunity.
My e-mail is-- lostmyretirementsavingsinthemarketcrashandamprettydesperate@sucker.com

The fact that Bobby. Never capitalizes; federal bureau of investigation. Except /\ when using , ... ? " + the initials FBI.
