Haiku Friday: Freeze Dried Frog!

As I hope you remember, Haiku Friday has been devoted for the last several weeks to the oddities found in the Mayborn Museum's Curiosity Cabinets. There are some very strange things in there. For example, this week's curiosity, which is a freeze-dried frog.

Here is Dr. McCormick's haiku:

In 2020
They'll put him in the hot pot
And see how he tastes

And mine, which draws from the wonderful world of Frog and Toad Together:

"Hello, Frog, It's Toad.
You look very odd today.
Should we go fishing?"

Comments:
Define irony:
Amphibian, frozen, dry
What an odd little guy.

Went to Zanzibar
Let Bates make us trail mix
Frogs? Worst gorp ever!

Could this get more gross?
Osler, bring back haiku lite!
No dead things in jars...

You think this is bad?
Old frog should be glad for it.
You should see Mr. Toad!

Sad fate; frog's own fault:
Took an "overnight meeting"
Freeze-dried his soul.

One time, Greg's frog died
We didn't find him for days
It looked just like that

Still so green, my friend?
The dryness of his outside
Doesn't match his nature.

A freeze dried croaker?
Truly novel concept or
really good shelack

Recipe for soup,
One freeze dried amphibian,
Cook until its done.
