Not a bad list at all.

My personal faves:

1. George's
2. Mi Tequila
3. D's Chicken Delite
4. Zeb's
5. 1424
6. Bangkok Royale

In every one of the above places I go in and I feel like family.

3. Texas Roadhouse
4. Cheddar's
5. Panera

Best Burgers:

4. Burger Barn (Bosqueville)
5. Horny Toad (Cranfills Gap)

You'll never find a chain restaurant on my "best restaurants" list, so I disagree with Ninfas and Chuys. Mine would go, in no particular order:

Bangkok Royale
Papa Rollos
Harold Waite's Pancake & Steak House
Food for Thought
La Fiesta

Hello!
You may probably be very curious to know how one can make real money on investments.
There is no initial capital needed.
You may commense earning with a sum that usually is spent
on daily food, that's 20-100 dollars.
I have been participating in one company's work for several years,
and I'll be glad to let you know my secrets at my blog.

Please visit blog and send me private message to get the info.

P.S. I earn 1000-2000 per daily now.

No disagreement from me, but I would add the Diamondback's happy hour to the list. The rest of the menu is good but overpriced, but the happy hour appetizers and signature cocktails are pretty awesome. I do have to dissent from Food for Thought and Papa Rollos in the comments, though. Papa Rollos was gross the one time I went, and Food For Thought is mediocre at best with four-star prices.

1. Mama and Papa's BBQ
2. Britt's Burger Barn
3. 135 Prime
4. Green Room
5. Food for Thought

I miss Fran's on La Salle. I spent so much time there in undergrad. It was one of the places I really looked forward to frequenting upon my return for law school.

And Health Camp isn't even the 3rd best burger joint. One of the best is one of the least well-known - STOCKYARDS! This is not opinion; it is scientific fact.

Ask Sterling or Winkler before they graduate. Only open Thursdays and Fridays. Cash only. Takes forever. and SOOOOOO worth it.

Here are the restaurants I most wish we had in AZ:

1) Rudy's
2) Taqueria Los Altos De Jaliscos (Hewitt)
3) Katie's Custard (for the ice cream, not the nachos)
4) Double-R Burgers
5) D's Mediterranean Grill

In no particular order:

bangkok
stockyards
cafe cappuccino
clay pot
viteks

Anyone who disagrees with me is a fascist.

In no particular order:

El Conquistador
Ninfa's
Dubl R
Kitok's
Vitek's
Bari's

Anyone who disagrees with me is a anti-American.

La Fiesta (peach margarita)
George's (Big O, fried pickles)
Kitok's (oriental fries!)
Bari's (calzonne)
Ninfa's (original in Houston is better)
Papa Rollo's Pizza (secret doors, Waco original)

Most overrated: El Siete del Mare (BYOB?)

Ok, first of all, it's "Siete Mares" and it's a great place for fish. BYOB is fabulous--great wine, you picked and the price is right. The blackened snapper with green chili sauce is out of this world. My favorites:

1. Siete Mares (Mexican seafood)
2. Tony DeMaria's (Texas barbeque)
3. Vitek's (Gut pack)
4. Kitok's (Burgers and fries)
5. Pei Wei (Asian--I know it's a chain, but I still like it--sue me)

I like your list but have to disagree about Chuy's - not my favorite. And, you left off the best two in Waco: Pizza Hut and Cracker Barrel.

Cracker Barrel?!?! Maybe if you are a state trooper, elderly Lady Bear fan, or brokenhearted trucker crying into your dumplings, but for normal people...

Anon 12:54: Don't be hatin' the CB. The dumplings are fab!

5. Rosa's. I hate that I can't get it.
4. Altos de Jalisco (only real Mexican in Hewitt)
3. Bangkok Royale
2. Vitek's (best que, even if it is CenTex style)
1. Kitok

Honorable mention: taquito truck on LaSalle and the Circle, Pei Wei, and Health Camp.

I disagree with Ninfa's, not necessarily because it's a chain, but because I think there is better Mexican in town (see Don Carlos and Se Cocina, which I guess is now called Sebas' Cocina). I also disagree with Waco Farmer's List. The one time we went to Mi Tequila, nearly everyone in our group felt sick later, and one person puked in the parking lot.

My Favorites are:
1) Cricket's
2) Don Carlos
3) Britt's Burger Barn
4) Lake Brazos Steakhouse
5) Hooters (I don't care what anyone says, the buffalo chicken sandwich at Hooters is wonderful)

Also, it's a bit outside of Waco, but Coffee Stop in Crawford is 100%worth the drive.

I disagree with Ninfas.

Professor, I haven't had any classes with you or any real interaction aside from you picking on me during the Fall '07 orientation, but I wanted to let you know that I read your blog every once in a while and I will be linking to this post on my own blog dedicated to finding the best food in Waco. It should be up on Sunday.

Also, Ross wants you to know that I have figured out that the two of you are the same person. That also explains why you haven't had any "interaction" during law school.
