Haiku Friday: Fall Saturdays

As I have already written, I love Saturdays in the fall. Let's haiku about that today. Feel the power of the pumpkin.

Here is mine:

The smell of wood fires,
The sound of a marching band,
One red leaf (perfect).

Now it is your turn. Just make it five syllables for the first line, seven syllable for the second, and five for the last line. Thanks for haiku-ing!

Comments:
Thanksgiving coming
Deep-fry your turkeys, Texas,
And love pecan pies.

Ordered my costume:
Playboy bunny, big blonde wig
Might wear to finals.

My costume this year:
Pocket watch, vest, tweed jacket
I'll pace at your house.

raking up fallen
leaves of red, orange, gold and brown
Will they turn to mulch?

Packing up some stuff
Time to leave school again, ugh
Every fall, the same.

House, wedding, first born
Three Michigan Octobers
Fall magic at work

Love of my mother,
warm hugs from my family
I miss my grandma
