Haiku Friday: Dreams

I've been running a fever, which always turns my dreams all goofy. Last night, I was in a knife-fight with former Clinton cabinet member and current University of Miami President Donna Shalala. That lady is TINY, but surprisingly mobile. In another dream (this one recurring), I obtained the ability to fly through force of will, and then used that power to float around the house and do chores.

So, let's haiku about our dreams.

Here is mine:

Lady Shalala,
You are quite handy and quick
With a shiv. Ouch! Hey!

Now it is your turn...

Comments:
Fever induced dreams
fighting lawyers? I always
dream I grew a tail.

Dream a little dream,
Sweet dreams till sunbeams find you;
Dream a dream of me.

A Papa

In my dream, a kid
From church takes my car and wife
To join the circus.

Professor Powell
I don't know where my pants are
Unprofessional

I'm holding a kid
Not mine, and it is screaming
Glad when I wake up.

Thy love departs me
Thou leaves in a veil of tears
Riding a mower.

Reoccuring dream:
School has started, but I just
Can't find my classroom!

Bottle of Champagne
Three lost rings - none of them mine
Long night in Vegas.

Flying dreams last night--
Went down to Mexico City!
Should I get Pickles?

To Anonymous:
PLEASE get Pickles - but only if you take her to Costa Rica or another place where she will not face federal charges.

ODE TO MY DAWG MURPHY
by tydwbleach

Oh, how I love my Dawg!
He hates everyone one but me.
He even hates my husband—
On Bill he likes to pee.

Now, Murphy ate the phone cord
And the laptop cord, it’s true,
And many places in the house
You will find his poo.

He does not like my Spencer.
He does not like my friends.
He does not care for Kari Richey,
Though I’ll love her till the end.

But he’s a fine walkin’ Dawg.
I walk him every day.
And if you see us walking
You should run the other way,

‘Cause Murphy is a mean dog—
He might bite or pee on you—
But he realllly wuvs his mommy,
And I Weally Wuv him too.
