New York, August 21, 2009

A great photographer in New York sent me this photo yesterday. It is the most compelling picture I have seen this year.

Any caption ideas? I think if nothing else, it captures the feelings some people have as the start of school looms.

Death, gloom and despair,
Law School starts on Monday!
Abandon hope all ...

Impending.

I was driving under a sky just like that last night; it cast the strangest light, and felt claustrophobic . . . the sky's not supposed to descend on you . . . felt like a cloud cave or a storm tunnel . .

Sliver of Hope

I see that sort of sky and am fascinated and amazed. But I often find no one around to share my fascination

Well, I am fascinated.

I am fascinated as well. I always loved watching the sky over Tampa Bay. In Durham, I spend most of the time looking at trees.

Strive. This captures this very moment for me. A week on the job after so much striving to get here. There is much striving to come, but at least there'll be a paycheck!!!!
