Haiku Mayhem Friday

It's time to live life fully. It's summer. Take off the tie. Jump in the pool. Drink something cold. And let's haiku without restrictions. I don't care how many lines you have! It doesn't matter how many syllables! Pick your own topic! It can be about summer, trees, Mr. Magoo, whatever!

Here is mine:

Dream of Robert Frost:
Laughs with me,
Sailing.

Now it is your turn...

Comments:
I don't believe
That I have seen
Anything so lovely
As the end of PC.

Nothing says
Summer like the
peace and quiet
of an empty house
while the kids
are away at camp.

I simply don't get it,
What's up with Sarah Palin?
For now she's bailn'

A non-political, but interested American who generally prefers the arts to politics.

Heat settles in
Kills the lawn
And my ambitions.

My opinion on this week's Haiku Friday challenge:

This is not haiku
Haiku goes five-seven-five
And is 'bout nature.

And now, for a brief public service haiku:

Green grass here no more
Wind's polluted, smells real bad
Jeez, just don't litter!

I need a platonic cuddle buddy
To teach me bankruptcy
Buy me a pizza
And rub my back.
Taking applications now.

It's summer!
Dreams of Alamo
of Riverwalk
a lovely lady
It's romance
It's baseball
A lifetime of memories

- Former student on the way to Del Rio

Epic fail:
I rubbed Jessica's back
With pizza.

Whoever the last Anon is, you actually made me LOL. :)

Is that the Shores Park?
I miss it so....
The crisp clean water and
the smell of fish flies on the lake!
Can I jump in now?

Officer Flossy
You've done it again
That Dingo is in the pen

One hundred to one?
"Pass me some of that good stuff!"
Quoth the Senator.

I acted as a matchmaker
last two weeks. worked out well.

Sweat drips of my brow,
I plunge into the icy waters,
Of the pool, thinking,
What is this?
