IPLawSleep?

Razorite "B" sent along this photo, wondering if the guy in the blue coat on McCain's campaign plane is IPLawGuy. I think probably not, but I'll let him weigh in on that.

The photo was taken from McCain's daughter's blog. From what I see on there, the McCains seem to be in pretty good spirits given the long odds they are said to be facing.

Comments:
McCain's consistent proclamation of "we've got them right where we want them!" reminds me of the Iraqi Minister of Information who proclaimed that there were no American forces in Iraq even as the tanks were rolling through the streets of Baghdad.

looks like a JetBlue flight to me.

Not me. I haven't been on the plane, the bus or any other official means of conveyance. With two kids and a job I didn't have time to commit to anything beyond a trip to New Hampshire in January and to Minnesota in September. Other than that I have been doing what I could in Virginia.

Campaigns are full of favor seekers and glory hounds. I like to call them "coffee cup holders." There are always lots of sharp looking guys in their late 20's/early 30's standing around with cups of coffee looking like they are too busy to actually do anything like knock on doors, make phone calls, put up signs, etc.

There are a few people who actually decide strategy and policy, but really, the work of campaigns is to get people out in the field to do the grass roots work... you know, the stuff we all respect in the abstract, but find irritating when we actually encounter it in person.
