Haiku Food Friday

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving. It was an excellent holiday here, even though the turkey turned out a little dry. I blamed the economy for that, though, and am expecting a government bailout now.

Today may be the best day of the year to reflect on food, so let's do that, shall we?

Here is mine:

Potatoes, bacon
Eight pounds of butter and cheese
Together: perfect.

Now it is your turn!

When we burn the turkey we
just Turk the Wookie

Wookie mean too tough
Unless you boil it for weeks
In Corasant oil.

We brine the turkey
Succulent and delicious
Good with nice white wine

Spent Thanksgiving at
new goatless house. Much to be
Thankful for this year.

Went around table
"What are you Thankful for?" "Dog,"
was Spencer's answer.

Really? The DOG? I
am just glad to be back home,
with my Family.

Best Thanksgiving yet.

Was eaten for Thanksgiving?
Tasted like chicken?

Brined the turkey for
the first time ever, and boy
was it moist and good!

We brined the dog for
the first time ever. She sunk
at first, then floated.

Pumpkin turtle pie
The most decadent thing I've
Had in a long time

Caramel sauce, cream,
Pecans, graham cracker crust,
and some pumpkin, too.

Three years ago it could've
Been me. That's why food

Is easier to
Think about . . .

Tilted back my head,
Open mouth, can of whipped
Cream-- sprayed it in.
