The Debate!

Here is the picture I ended up with for the book jacket. It's pretty stern, but... it is a book about the death penalty. It's also not so flattering, but there's not much I can do about that.

Hopefully, though, it will intimidate Prof. Serr in advance of our debate tonight. Serr (shown in the video below, which he made for last year's debate) is arguing for the petition that the government can torture anyone they want for any reason. I will be holding for some kind of reasonable limits on the horrific festival of torture he wants to initiate.

Details: Tonight, 7 pm, first floor of the law school.

Comments:
If things get out of hand, I would suggest a waterboarding demonstration at your debate tonight. And make sure you wear your stern (serious) face.

The problem with jacket cover photo's is they will reuse them in future books if you use the same publisher. Do you want that picture used if you write a children's book on torture techniques or a book on panda's?

Prof. Serr has beautiful blue eyes, which are really brought out when he wears those blue pajamas. I vote for him!

I love the little demon in the background. I always thought THAT was supposed to be Serr!

Can we make posters and bring confetti to throw when the Osler win is announced?

LDT--

I thought you were FOR torture? That being the case, you need to support Serr.

Anon--

I'm not sure those are pajamas Serr is wearing in the video. I think it is more of a onesie.

I am gonna make some signs that say things like "CHANGE We Can Believe In (Or they'll torture us)" and "YES WE CAN (detain people without charging them)" and "COUNTRY FIRST (Constitutional rights second)"

Osler,
Are you serious? I'm incredibly against it! I think it is a total violation of rights and the Constitution. I don't see how we can say something is illegal if it is done to us but is fine so long as we're doing it to people that aren't our own.

was there supposed to be sound with this video? Maybe my computer is malfunctioning. But then, as everyone knows I am deeply in danger os gayness. so... you know...

So the torture that you approve of...

Does that include using a flamethrower to stop illegal immigrants from coming over the border? (whether on the ground or from Blackhawk helicopter)

I used to go to this modern art museum, Dia, in Beacon NY a lot. That video could totally pass as an exhibit there.

whoa whoa whoa...when did torture become illegal to do to americans?! Man, that kinda ruins what I've been doing here at the DAs office.

Not to mention PC.
