haiku friday, political version

Political haiku!

I'll allow anything vaguely political. Or, if you want, it can still be about Bates, as usual.

Here's mine:

Somehow, now I miss
Simple times, not so long ago
Come back, Mike Gravel!

Now it is your turn...

Comments:
I am so angry.
Americans are stupid
and greedy people.

Want to kill bailout,
punish Wall Street, but also
have credit access.

That simply won't work.
You can punish orkeep the
economy afloat...and here's where the haiku ends. Everyone is moaning about not bailing out Wall Street. Well, guess what folks, if you don't free up interbank lending and provide the markets a reason to continue purchasing short term debt of financial institutions, then you (that's you, Joe Lunchbox, calling your Congressman and complaining about a bailout you don't understand) won't be able to borrow monwy. Neither will your employer, or the vendors who supply your employer, or the customer who used to buy the product you make on your assembly line, or the customers who can no longer buy your product. Geez people, we're not talking about handing a $100m severence check to some 60-year-old fat white blowhard on Wall Street, we're talking about preventing the collapse of the economy.

Priorities, people!
Sarah Palin is so hot!
Now go vote McCain.

Joe Lunchbox so dumb.
Glad you're here to help me.
America sucks.

Move. Just move away.
You are so angry, and we
are all dumb. Just leave.

Promise we will not
miss you. We are too stupid,
you super genius.

A lot of anger
here for this haiku friday,
Be at peace my friends.

Dem, Lib or Repub
can't we all just get along?
Save our country, please!

Politics are a
Royal pain in the behind,
Please relax people.

Capitalism
Failed? No, just greed. Kill greed=Heal
The economy.

Dr Evil: I want
seven hundred billion, plus
Or economy, done

bwawhahahahhahahhaha

September sun glows
Amber leaves bedeck green lawns
Spoiled by campaign signs

I don't trust the Fed -
its beady eyes and bald heads.
O, precious money!

Car broke down today,
Entire engine fell out - boom
Who's at fault? George Bush

Punish Wall Streeters?
Cutting off nose to spite face?
Need stable system

Saw Palin with Katie
Couric. Wore pimp glasses. HUH?
VERY strange lady.

Today WAMU was bought?
Sold? So - who gets my Mortgage?
I am so confused.

In Costco last night
I saw inflatable Santa.
Christmas in September.

At Costco last night
Saw inflatable Palin
Complete with rifle.

Greed, capitalism
A Jedi craves not these things
Obamawan

The economy
Hurts because it rewards greed
Regulation now.

Bates / Haygood Oh Eight
We will bring reform, good hair
And high water saves

Loved me Nixon.
Where is my dear Richard now?
We cry out to you.

Anticipation:
Excruciating, the wait
For what happens next.

Election's too long.

Bates in high water
Wall Street in turmoil
Natural selection at work

Bates survived
Wall Street may not; survival
Of the fittest, yes!
