Haiku Friday-- August Begins

Where did this summer go? It ran away quickly on cat's paws, without my noticing.

Here are this week's haiku themes:

1) Rain
2) Lack of rain
3) Baylor football!
4) Back to school
5) Back to school... when you were eight
6) Back to school when you were eight in the rain
7) Pandas
8) Family vacation
9) The family car
10) Haircuts

Here is mine:

I loved that seat
In the way-way back of that
Black station wagon.

Now it is your turn...

I can't spell--let's try again:

Rain, rain, please come back,
My throat is dry and dusty,
Summer burns the mind.

Still moving out of
Goat Farm. Moving sucks. House now
has driveway, floors,doors.

Love, tyd

Grass fires are bad.
Elderly men are dying
fighting for their land.

"Go to hell!?" Too late!
It is August in Texas!
No place for pandas.

RFDIII

Ohio Third Grade
Felt like part of the in crowd
Then we mov'd away.....

Back to school's far from
My mind . . . It will be next week
Hard to fathom now,

An ocean away.

First, I was not sure
Then time passed, and path became clear
To Arizona!!

The big green street sign
At the entrance to heaven:
"All Chairs Are Empty"

The big green street sign
At the entrance to Baylor:
"Bwa ha ha ha ha!"

Eight to school in rain
driven there in family car
brimming with pandas
