I'm not sure what it is, but I kind of like it...

What language is this guy singing? I do like his friend who shows up at the end, too...

Comments:
It's Japanese.

Prof Osler, I have to wonder... Are you getting geared up for the upcoming action epic “Kung Fu Panda?”

I blame the French. I smell French influence all over this panda thing. It is around this time every year that the French take over his blog.

eh, that guy is just panda-ing to the audience.

It's Japanese, and sadly, my Japanese skills are not up to par with translating the man's very nasally singing. The sign the panda is holding, as best I can tell (and assuming they're using a Western left-to-right horiztonal writing order) is Ko ko de sa re gu." I can't for the life of me think that means anything. Assuming top to bottom, right to left order, it reads "De gu ko re ko sa" which again means nothing to me. At least I recognize the word "kore" as meaning, "roughly," it. Certainly I don't see the characters for panda, which is a loan word and so would be written with a different set of characters than are on the sign.
