Thanks, Tyd...

Fellow Grosse Pointe eccentric Tydwbleach sent along this, which is certain to further burnish Detroit's image.

Comments:
You're welcome... whatever I can do to further Detroit's sterling reputation... Did you miss the one I sent about how only 24% of the high school students in Detroit Public Schools actually graduate?
This goes on while the members of the Detroit School Board (last I heard) are driven in limos....

But look at these crazy role models they have... Bill Bonds, the Mayor(s), Bill Kennedy, Soupy Sales, the Ghoul...Sonny Elliot.

Its sad... seriously.

If I were the mayor of that city I would NOT know what to do... Really, I don't have a clue. Its just an abyss...no hope equals lots of crime, lots of crime equals no hope, more crime, more loss of hope... plus the car industry has tanked, the real estate market is scary bad, the mayor is a perv... no kids graduate...Wayne County is corrupt, the roads are terrible...Nancy Kerrigan... well technically that was not our fault..

But they do make the best ginger ale, hot fudge, SUVs and cheese popcorn(BetterMade - you just cannot find it outside of Mich... and nothing dyes your fingers orange like that horribly great stuff).
.. So they have that going for them. I thought the casinos were supposed to help.

but what the heck do I know? I have not been back since 1998.

PS What IS Al Roker doing int he middle of it anyway? weird.

PSPS
You really think I am eccentric?

Well, yeah, I can see that actually. I mean, I know NORMAL is not a word used often to describe me.... I AM pretty kooky.

Weird thing is, my son Spencer is taking after me:

Today he was on the phone with his grandparents thanking then for the wooden blocks they sent him for his birthday. He thanked them, told them he liked them a lot, and that they were: "BLOCK-TASTIC!"

Now where does a four year old come up with this? From his weird mom, I guess.
