The Blogger-Graduates: Stephen Baker

Here's a totally sad statistic: Three bloggers graduated this weekend, leaving a glaring hole in the Baylor Law electronic community. It's a hole we will struggle to fill, as each had a different and fascinating take on the Law School experience.

Pictured above is Stephen Baker, who blogs as Poseur. I have always that it was a very strange thing to call himself, since of all the law students I have known, he may be the least fitting of that moniker. If nothing else, he is genuine, real, and human in the best sense.

I'll really miss this guy. I loved the way he would contest my points in PR, his enthusiasm for the law school experience, and the leadership role he took on my fall mock trial team. There are some people that I am sure will be great lawyers, and he is one of them.

Comments:
Awwww... shucks. Thanks for the kind words, but I'll still be around at least until the end of February to take the Bar.

But I'll miss this place. Without a doubt, these have been the three best years of my life.

That kind of makes me worry about the rest of your life, Baker.

You know first of all Osler it is telling that this is one of the first time I have seen that huge of a smile on your face in any picture on your blog. So that speaks to how you feel about your students. How sad it is that they have to leave at teh end of their time, and send them out into the world - I do not know if I could say good bye to that many people twice a year! However, one good thing about the electronic community is that it IS electronic, so that even though he may get really busy, he can still check in rather easily.... SO maybe he will keep in touch.

If I was a betting man I'd say the smiles were induced by the phrase, "this one is going on the blog."

Both laughed uncomfortably knowing that this was in fact true.
