Turkey Coma Haiku Friday!

You know... I almost forgot Haiku Friday. Doh! That's what happens this time of year. Anyways, write a Haiku below.

You can have your haiku be on any topic at all. My own involves a discussion involving my parents, myself, and another law prof:

What does LARC stand for?
Uh... "Legal Analysis and
Ritin' Correctly?"

Give it a go, my friends!

Comments:
Bloated, motionless
My Friday reverie is
Yes, very quiet.

Cranberry rita
Soothes the pre-Thanksgiving crowd
Party was super!

Tryptophan or wife
One makes me want to go sleep
I hope its turkey . . .

Swiss Thanksgiving is
Any Sunday: enforced quiet,
Shops closed, can't make noise,

Can't do laundry, can't
Mow the grass. Just stay home and
Fix all that food you

Rushed around to buy
On Saturday. Just don't play
Loud music. But eat.

Luckily, outside's
Pretty gorgeous. And the food's
Awfully good. Mmm.

Mayflower rita!
Nectar of the happiest
I want some more, now!

The Cracker Barrel
set the scene for our dinner
Who needs the dishes?

Elvis befriends death
An elegant pas de deux
Writ large in real life.

Rotten Pergola
Pleas for clemency, yet dies
by axe and hammer

Turkey Day hampered
by dog elbow ER Vet
but dog is okay.

Just a flesh wound. Life
goes on at the Chapin goat
farm. Though, there's no goat.

Got Whole Foods dinner
Like always. Everyone
likes when I don't cook.

Big plans for house now.
Will build green most that we can.
Bamboo, Eco stuff.

Have two dogs now, two
acres, no goat, one Spencer,
sixty eight guitars.

Much to be thankful
for, even here on the goat
farm my glass half full.
goat. Two

I ate Tyd's goat, yeah!
Roasted it in the back yard
Great with Salsa, Tyd!

I don't like turkey,
The white meat tastes like cardboard,
Just for the pilgrims?
