No, I haven't had my body painted

Key West is currently having their annual "Fantasy Fest," which apparently involves 50-year-olds dressing as angels and flappers or wearing only body paint and wandering around. It seems a strange time to have a mock trial tournament, but they may not have known... at any rate, rest assured that Baylor's team is not participating in Fantasy Fest.

I suspect, though, that things might be different if the students weren't accompanied by their ethics professor.

Comments:
You know how there are some teachers that to motivate their students to do well they will say that if their students succeed at something then they will like get a tattoo or shave their head or something?

Well you just got through asking them all how to improve the law school.... Osler, this is your chance. Tell them that IF THEY WIN you will get yourself painted.

Seriously. I cannot think of anything more motivating to them, and it would REALLLLLY improve the Law School.

Tyd--

Definitely not.

At least a tattoo? Maybe "Mother"?

I still think you should do it. You would win the competition for sure and I see Professor of the Year written allll over this.

OR do it BEFORE they win to inspire them sort of like that Baylor Mascot inspires all of you! OR maybe the guy who wears the Crocs holding the dog....Oh wait is that guy the Baylor mascot? I thought it was a bear... OR just dress up as a BEAR!!!!

A body painted bear... a Bare Bear, if you will.

Osler I think you should really rethink this. It would give your team the competitive edge they need. And as they say,l when in Rome .... so I mean you are in key West... yes you would look weird, but who the heck would notice? It is KEY WEST. You have to get up pretty early in the morning to look weird in Key West.

They do that in Zurich too--dress up in white, highly suggestive costumes or paint themselves all over and parade through the streets. This happens on a Saturday in August. Definitely not for children, although I thought it was more funny than titillating. The Swiss letting their hair down.

But none of this motivating their students by promising to jump out of an airplane. That attitude hasn't apparently made its way over here . . .

You could offer to grow your hair long enough for a ponytail.

This could be an interesting competition:

What should Prof. Osler promise to do if his team wins? Maybe eat a gallon of ice cream or something.

eat a gallon of ice cream????? NO it has to be something WEIRD, not eating ice cream.
