Cover Art Ponderings

In a comment to the previous post, Sleepy Walleye suggest that my book should feature cover art by the man who brought us the album art for Spinal Tap's Rock n' Roll Creation, shown above.

Good idea, but it doesn't quite... go to 11. Any other suggestions?

Comments:
Do you have the connections to get Bill Watterson out of retirement?

Stokes

How about one of those Iron Maiden-type paintings?

ps--

Now that you are a famous writer, can you get me some skunge?

going to 11 is really important.

maybe you could do a cover art thing like the big ten logo when penn state first joined, it had a hidden 11 in it.

If you're going to go with a Spinal Tap album cover artist, try the guy who did "The Black Album."

Not sure if he did the art for the original cover, which would have been "Sniff the Glove."

I cannot see the picture.

Yeah... Sniff the glovce. Or Maybe pout STONEHENGE on the cover. OR the Baylor squirrell or whatever that mascot is riding the poice motorcycle...

The only image on the cover that matters is the picture of the author on the back; I suggest that picture of you holding the tray of cinnamon buns or maybe one of a dachshund wearing a bumblebee suit.

Yeah, I vote for the cinnamon bread photo. The best part is the flour handprint on your chest.

As long as Fabio is in it, I'm good.

I suggest the Christian Ideology-laden B.C. comic strip for cover art. Perhaps a witty little frame such as this.

For the back cover or dust jacket photo, be sure to get a cardigan and a pipe and start to look thoughtful when you look off into the distance.

Fabio on a horse, dressed in a Jesuslike Versace outfit, with his robes open, chest bare, and blindfolded, holding one of those scales of justice things...

Bates in irons?

Two words: comic nudity.
